Investment Services

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”
Peter Drucker
Through Government of Canada funding, North Claybelt CFDC administers a local investment fund aimed at helping finance new or existing small businesses and social enterprises for start-up, expansion or stabilization plans that help maintain or create jobs.
ACCESS TO CAPITAL
Repayable financing of up to $300,000 MAY be available through term loans, loan guarantees or equity investments. Repayment terms are based on the situation and needs of the individual client. All financing decisions are subject to approval by the corporation’s Board of Directors. Community Futures often works in partnership with other lenders – from commercial banks, credit unions and the BDC.
BUSINESS ENHANCEMENT LOAN
This initiative aims to assist entrepreneurs and companies in marketing their products and/or services to a broader market. The funding assistance can help with such items as signage, website development, participation at trade shows, and other marketing related activities.
BUSINESS PLAN INITIATIVE
The Business Planning initiative will support private sector business to develop plans that stimulate business opportunities within the CFDC’s catchment area. Projects will support eligible recipients with financial assistance to support the development of business plans, exportation plans, marketing plans, feasibility studies, etc., with the intention of advancing their business and organizations. The intent is to strengthen businesses strategically with the long-term goal of job creation, economic diversification and refined competitiveness. All proposals by applicants must detail the number of jobs that will be potentially created or maintained due to the development of the plan, and how the creation of the plan will assist in accessing the necessary resources to grow the business or organization.
