This program is offered to area youth aged 18 to 30 with entrepreneurial ambition, funded by the government of Canada, in partnership with the Alternative Education Centre. The YEP provides twenty weeks of in-class training with workshops focusing on The characteristics, qualities and attitudes of the entrepreneur, marketing, financial and business planning and other important topics.

Participants also take part in a two-week Co-op session, and are networked with a variety of local business owners and professionals. The program now also offers an additional twenty weeks of aftercare during the crucial start-up phase of the business to assist the young entrepreneur.

The Youth Entrepreneurship Program offers information, direction and mentoring to area youth interested in becoming future entrepreneurs.
