Access to capital

Through Government of Canada funding, our CFDC administers a local investment fund aimed at helping  finance new or existing small businesses and social enterprises for start-up, expansion or stabilization plans that help maintain or create jobs.  Repayable financing of up to $150,000 on commercial terms through loans, loan guarantees or equity investments are available when financing from other sources is insufficient.  All CFDC financing decisions are made at the community level by our local board of directors.

Business Enhancement Loan 

This initiative aims to assist entrepreneurs and companies in marketing their products and/or services to a broader market. The funding assistance can help with such items as signage, website development, participation at trade shows, and other marketing related activities.
