This Regional "Business Plan Challenge" is sponsored by North Claybelt Community Futures Development Corporation, FedNor and The Business Enterprise Centre. It is a unique and exciting competition during which participants venture into the business world if only to whet their entrepreneurial appetite.

Students will have the opportunity to prepare a business plan that may be used to start a summer business. The “Business Plan Challenge” is a competition where students will have the opportunity to create their own business plan based upon their own business idea. Business plans are evaluated by a team of five judges. Three cash prizes with a total value of $1,750 will be awarded. The first place winner will receive $1,000 and the opportunity to participate in both regional and provincial competitions. Second place and third place winners will receive $500 and $250 respectively. Many other prizes will be awarded to winners in various categories.

 

Networking with the Mayor

Networking with the MayorThis competition involves several secondary schools throughout the North East, including Kapuskasing, Hearst, Timmins, Smooth Rock Falls, Cochrane, Iroquois Falls, as well as the Geralton area.
